Nation Pizza Recalls Mama Cozzi’s Pizza Kitchen Products Due To Misbranding and Undeclared Allergens (USDA)

The products contain soy, a known allergen which is not declared on the product label.

The problem was discovered during in-plant review activities.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

AA Poultry Processing, LLC Recalls Chicken and Turkey Products Due to Use of Unapproved Substance (USDA)

AA Poultry Processing, LLC, a Ridgeland, Wis. establishment, is recalling approximately 2,191 pounds of chicken and 21 pounds of turkey products, which may have been contaminated with trichloro-s-triazinetrione, which is not approved for use in poultry processing.

The problem was discovered by FSIS in-plant personnel during routine verification activities.


Case 03 2015-10-24

Whole Foods Market Recalls Curry Chicken Salad Product Due To Possible Listeria Adulteration
 Class I Recall 131-2015
Health Risk: High


A Whole Foods Market establishment located in Everett, Mass. is recalling approximately 234 pounds of curry chicken salad products that may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

The problem was discovered when FSIS was notified of sample testing results performed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

Case 04

Hawaii Firm Recalls Additional Frozen, Raw Chicken Products Due To Possible Temperature Abuse
Class I Recall 075-2013 expansion
Health Risk: High 2013/12/24

WASHINGTON, Dec. 24, 2013 –Palama Holdings, LLC, a Kapolei, HI establishment, is expanding its recall of raw, frozen marinated chicken products to approximately 24,784 pounds because they may have experienced temperature abuse in the distribution chain, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The expanded recall covers all teriyaki chicken products produced at the company’s Kapolei, HI plant with “Best by” dates ranging Sept. 24, 2014 to November 6, 2014.

FSIS personnel discovered bloated boxes of the products at a retail location in recent days. The problem was initially discovered during shipment when the company’s distributor observed boxes of product swollen with gases from the bagged chicken, an indication that there may have been temperature abuse during storage prior to distribution.
FSIS and the company have received no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.

Nevada Firm Recalls Chicken Products That Were Produced Without Fully Implementing a Ready-To-Eat HACCP Plan

WASHINGTON, July 4, 2014 – Kanani Foods, a Las Vegas, Nev. establishment, is recalling approximately 59 pounds of various chicken products because the products were not produced under a fully implemented Ready-To-Eat Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) plan, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

The problem was discovered by an FSIS inspector on June 30, 2014. The company had a HACCP plan in place, but had no records to demonstrate that the HACCP plan had been implemented or validated or that critical times and temperatures had been met in the cooking and cooling of products. Thus, there is no assurance the product is wholesome and therefore safe for consumption. Consequently, these products may support the growth of pathogens that may be detrimental to health.

California Firm Recalls Beef Products Due To Possible Processing Flaw

Health Risk: High 2014/10/6

WASHINGTON, Oct. 6, 2014 – Galant Food Company, a San Leandro, Calif. establishment, is recalling approximately 410 pounds of beef products because the meat filling used in the products did not meet its cooking critical limit, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

The problem was discovered by FSIS personnel who were at the establishment reviewing records.

FSIS and the company have received no reports of adverse illnesses due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an illness should contact a healthcare provider.

All American Meats, Inc. Recalls Ground Beef Products Due to Possible E. Coli O157:H7 Contamination
Class I Recall 135-2015
Health Risk: High
 All American Meats, Inc., an Omaha, Neb. establishment, is recalling approximately 167,427 pounds of ground beef products that may be adulterated with E. coli O157:H7, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

The problem was discovered on Oct. 30, 2015, when a positive result for E. coli O157:H7 from FSIS’ in-commerce surveillance program testing was traced back to the establishment. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

Case 08
Maryland Firm Recalls Fresh, Raw Chicken Products Due To Possible Processing Flaw

Perdue Food LLC, a Salisbury, MD establishment, is recalling approximately 720 pounds of raw, fresh chicken products because they may have experienced a processing deviation in temperature during production, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.    

The company discovered the problem when a plant employee checking whole bird temperatures noticed variations in the product. Upon further investigation it was found that a plant worker turned the wrong water valve, using potable water instead of chill water in the system’s chiller. The company notified FSIS of the incident. Product found in the firm’s warehouse was destroyed. However nine cases inadvertently shipped into commerce.

California Firm Recalls Canadian Liver Pâté Products Produced Without Import Inspection
Class I Recall 017-2014
Health Risk: High 2014/2/26


WASHINGTON, Feb. 26, 2014 – Sun Hing Foods, Inc., the Importer of Record, a South San Francisco, Calif., establishment, is recalling approximately 1,282 pounds of Canadian liver pâté products which were produced without the benefit of full USDA inspection, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. While this is a Class I recall, FSIS issues a Public Health Alert for an imported product when the country of origin recalls the product. However, FSIS issues a recall for an imported product when the product is not presented for inspection at the U.S. border. In the United States, the recall is undertaken by the Importer of Record, which is accountable to FSIS.

  Good Food Concepts, a Colorado Springs, Colo. establishment, is recalling approximately 12,566 pounds of beef, pork, and poultry products that were produced without a fully implemented Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plan. These products are also misbranded and contain sodium nitrite, which is not declared on the product label, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

The problem was discovered by FSIS during a food safety assessment at the establishment.

B & R Meat Processing Recalls Pork Products Due to Possible Processing Deviation and Staphylococcal Enterotoxin Contamination (USDA)



The problem was discovered when an FSIS inspector was conducting a Food Safety Assessment and observed a processing deviation.

進度報告:阿原的減重與心得


阿原以 2015 年七月底為體重控制的參考基準,到拍照片 (2015-11-06) 為止,減少約 4.5 kg。照片中的是一瓶兩公升的植物油,重量約 1.8 kg (兩瓶共 3.6 kg),是阿原減重的示意圖。下次累積到三瓶油的時候,再來分享。

心得一:減重,真的需要意志力,而且是超人的意志力,尤其是午夜夢迴,冰箱門開了又關,關了又開,總是天人交戰 (應該是腦與胃的拉扯)。

一旦戰勝魔鬼,隔天上了體重計,那種正面的回應,正是流淚的收割!也激勵了下次的戰鬥!


心得二:若隔天有重要的任務,晚上需要大量用腦時,我就會暫停節食計劃,先把任務完成。過去的經驗,阿原會發胖,就是因為吃宵夜。

在電腦前工作,一旦肚子餓,很容易分心,因此成就過去的體重。 阿原深知自己的情況與發胖的原因,因此設法改變作息,雖然半夜精神好,靈感佳,適合動腦的文書工作,但是會伴隨宵夜,也是萬惡的根原。相對的,這幾個月也會遇到需要熬夜趕報告或是計畫的情況,此時,阿原就暫停節食,先讓工作完成!

阿原的目標是,把體脂防降到 20% (因為阿原偏向運動員的型態,因此純看 BMI 會有失誤。)
後續若有進度,再來炫燿...我是說分享! 也會分享運動的心得。

這次減重與過往不同的地方,除了體重 (對應 BMI),這次還紀錄體脂肪 (用體重計,應該是用導電法測量),以及腰圍。未來這些數據將會作圖,





說明:
我也想用買豬油來對照跟拍照,比較真實。只是買不到小包裝的豬油,只好用植物油!

無法想像,過去慢跑,身上有如背著這樣兩瓶油在跑步....
